How is gentle yoga different?

Gentle Yoga is a slower, more relaxing style of yoga that is perfect for all levels, including those who are coming to Yoga for the first time.  Experienced practitioners often find that Gentle Yoga is a valuable addition to their regular practice.  The breath is the primary focus.  The asanas are secondary to the breath.  Holding fewer poses for a longer period of time allows the mind to rest and the body to heal and move in new ways.

  • Gentle yoga is a great option for people who are new to yoga. The poses are slow and easy to follow, so you can focus on your breath and relaxation.

  • Gentle yoga can be done almost anywhere, and you don't need any special equipment. You can do it at home, in a yoga studio, or even in a park. And it’s suitable for all levels.

  • Gentle yoga is a great way to connect with your body and mind. The slow, mindful movements can help you feel more relaxed and centered.

Kind Yoga with Billye Tuesday Mornings

Zoom Class, 7:30 am PST

Postures and Sequences are performed at a gentle pace.  The sequences consist of a few postures each held for a longer period of time. The focus is on letting go of stress and improving health, balance, and flexibility through slow muscle strengthening and breath. Gentle Yoga is for all levels, including those coming to Yoga for the first time.  Experienced Yogis will find Gentle Yoga to be an enhancement to their regular practice, as well. This class combines movement with breathing techniques.

All Levels Welcome

Giving back through education. Helping others discover a consistent, body-positive yoga practice.

After years of using Yoga as a ‘hard workout’, my healing path led me to Gentle Yoga.  Gentle Yoga has become a main component of my regular Yoga practice.   I am honored and excited to share it with you.
